Discover Innsbruck and its rich history during this walking tour with your guide.
Explore Innsbruck’s picturesque old city with the Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl), the city’s most famous landmark. The splendid alcove balcony gets its name from the 2,657 fire-gilded copper tiles that adorn the roof. The building has reigned over medieval houses and shady arcades for over 500 years. We’ll pass by the St. James’ Cathedral – or Innsbruck Cathedral – that was mentioned for the first time in 1180. Since then, it has towered majestically over the roofs of Innsbruck and been part of the most important medieval Christian pilgrimage route – the Way of St. James. During the tour we’ll also pass by the Imperial Palace is a beautiful and elaborate Gothic style castle with large representation rooms, a chapel, a state-of-the-art and heated.
