After a hearty breakfast, we will take a panoramic tour of the city, which offers a very good impression of Vienna’s many sights. We will visit the gardens of the historic Belvedere Palace, the former summer palace of Prince Eugene of Savoy. Enjoy the magnificent view of the city, immortalized by the artist Giovanni Antonio Canal in his paintings of Vienna. Continue along the Ringstrasse with its magnificent buildings such as the State Opera House, the Museum of Art History and Natural History, the Maria Theresa Monument, the Austrian Parliament, the Vienna City Hall, the National Theater and the Hofburg, seat of our Federal President. We will stroll through the small, idyllic streets of Vienna’s historic center and visit the interior of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the largest in the city. We will also pass by the Anchor Clock and the Jewish quarter. The tour ends in the center at the Maria-Theresien-Platz. Would you like to surprise your loved ones at home with an authentic souvenir? Our tip: the Wachau region is famous for its apricot cultivation and the products made from apricots, from chocolate and liqueur to brandy.

After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Hungary. Enjoy the ride in our luxury coach, which will take us to the capital Budapest, often referred to as the “Pearl of the Danube”, at lunchtime. In the afternoon we will take a city tour. Budapest is divided into two parts: “Buda”, where the historical center, embassies and high society residences are located, and “Pest”, where most of the hotels and stores are located. Don’t forget to prepare your camera. On the first day we will visit Pest and the Heroes’ Square, where the Millennium Monument is located. On its pedestal stand the statues of the seven conquerors and their leader Árpád. The tour continues along Andrassy Street, declared a World Heritage Site. Here you will find the most important building on the boulevard, the Hungarian State Opera, designed by Miklós Ybl, the House of Terror Museum, the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and the Franz Liszt Memorial Museum. Did you know that the second oldest subway in Europe passes through here? Its elegant stations are popular with locals and foreigners alike. We will also visit the Hungarian Parliament building, an iconic monument on the banks of the Danube, seat of the legislative power and guardian of the Hungarian Holy Crown.
